Frequently asked questions
Is SYNQ free?
Yes. Joining SYNQ and the Free plan cost nothing. Pro and Premium are optional paid plans that add more. Paid billing is not active yet. No payment is taken, and launch terms will be shown before activation.
Which languages does SYNQ speak?
Ten: English, German, Swiss German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Turkish and Dutch. You can switch at any time.
Is there an app?
SYNQ works in the browser on your phone and computer. The mobile apps are not in the App Store or Google Play yet.
Where is my data?
SYNQ is built on Google Cloud Platform, with data encrypted in transit and at rest. Our database is currently in the US (us-central1). EU or Swiss hosting is under consideration, not currently available. Uploaded photos and media are also stored in the US (us-east1). Data handling is designed around GDPR principles, with defined retention periods for each type of data (see the Privacy Policy). Role-based access control at every level — from user roles to universe-level admin permissions.
Can my club or company use SYNQ privately?
Yes. A universe is a private space for your members, with its own activities, members and admin tools. Clubs and groups can start with the Community plan, companies with Starter, Growth or Enterprise. Premium also includes one small universe for up to 10 people.
Does SYNQ use AI?
Yes, for optional helpers such as first drafts of activities, and for automated safety checks. The AI section above shows which plans include each helper, and the privacy policy explains which data is sent.
